Illinois Is In The Lead When It Comes To Wine Consumption In The Midwest

Vinepair broke down each states overall wine consumption and the results are very enlightening.

California drinks the most wine overall and is also responsible for 86 percent of America’s total wine output, not surprising considering California’s population of 39,000,000 residents is nearly 70 times larger than that of Wyoming, the state that drank the least wine.

When it came to the midwest, Illinois came in first in wine consumption and 5th overall.

The study compared alcoholic beverage sales by state from 1977 to 2015, and then updated their records with these figures from 2016 and so on and so forth. .
