Sharing Your Netflix Account May Be A Thing Of The Past

It’s possible that you share your Netflix account with family and friends or you have access to someone else’s account.

Netflix could crack down on those sharing their account with a new piece of software.

Synamedia, a software company, unveiled a system at CES 2019 in Las Vegas that will analyze factors such as where users are logged on, and flag shared accounts.

The good news is that if you’re sharing with friends and family, Netflix may inform you that you need to upgrade to a premium account.

However, if it finds that you’re sharing your account more widely or that your account is being sold through for-profit operations, your account could be shut down.

Such sharing could naturally account for huge revenue losses for pay-TV over the next few years.
