WATCH: New Ariana Grande single ‘7 Rings’ takes listeners by surprise

You may remember Princess Nokia and her track from the early 90’s, “Mine.” Apparently Ariana Grande is very familiar with it because the hook to her new track “7 Rings,” in my opinion, sounds very familiar.

Princess Nokia turned to Twitter with a video of herself listening to Ariana’s song back to back with her own track that she recorded back in the day.

The music isn’t only similar on both tracks but the lyrics could easily be switched out to conform to Ariana Grande’s track.

Princess Nokia wrapped up her video stating: “Ain’t that the little song I made about brown women and their hair? Hm. Sounds about white.”

While fans of Princess Nokia aren’t having it, fans of Ariana Grande are leaving salty comments on Nokia’s video.
