Facebook Adopts New ‘Ranked’ System For Comments

Facebook is changing the way comments are displayed on public pages, adopting a ‘ranked’ system the company says will make conversations ‘more meaningful’.

Starting today, comments with interactions from the original poster will get higher priority, along with comments made by the poster’s friends.

Users still have the option to moderate or delete comments on their pages.  Individual pages can also ‘opt in’ to the new system.

Facebook has also recently shifted its video ranking system to give higher priority to original content.
