Before she performed on Friday’s Today show, Lizzo sat down for an interview.

She was asked about how her hit song Truth Hurts didn’t take off immediately.

Lizzo said, “I just needed some time for the world to fall in love with me.”

As far as acting beyond her small role in Hustlers,  Lizzo said, “the future is bright for that. It’s gotta be the right role.”
