It's still technically summer, but for some it's not too soon to think about what the kiddies will want for the holidays. From the boy-band One Direction dolls, to the new "MUST HAVE" video game device,to the reinvented Furby, this list has what you need to know before you hit the stores or online sites.
As seen in the photo above, Wii U by Nintendo, Nintendo's new two-screen gaming console.
$300 to $350 and not out till Nov 18th but some stores are already sold out of preorders. Earlier reviewers of this two screen multi player hand held are pretty high. And gamers are picky!
The Furby is back! Remodeled by Hasbro, $59.99: Update on hit 1998 furry interactive toy robot. I already want one so I can watch it talk to Ray Wagner.
Tabeo by Toys "R" Us, $149.99: Toys "R" Us' own tablet offering with enhanced safety features and 50 preloaded apps. Imagine not having to give up your IPad or IPhone to the kids who want to play with those awesome apps. This device is also much sturdier, and will hold up to slippery hands and sticky fingers better.
Illumivor Mecha-Shark is $89.99, from Skyrocket Toys. The 18-inch-long, remote-controlled toy glows in the dark and chomps its teeth as it "swims" across the floor to the sound of ominous music. Besides the shark, the Illumivor collection includes three other smaller 8-inch characters: the Electro Piranha, Hydro Jaw and the Shock Angler. Check out this cool video review!
Wearables: Price: $24.99 to $29.99
Joe Casali, an industrial designer, got the idea for Wearables from his day job designing corrugated cardboard displays for stores. Wearables is a line of cardboard toys that kids can assemble into the shape of an airplane, bulldozer or princess carriage. Once they're put together, kids can decorate each piece using crayons, markers and stickers. When the toy is ready, kids can put the toy on using the shoulder straps and pretend to ride in an airplane or a carriage. Sounds like fun!
One Direction collector dolls by Hasbro, $19.99: Known online as "1D Doll", with each of the 5 guys represented. Harry,Niall, Liam,Louis, and Zayn look pretty realistic!
These are just a few of my favorites mentioned on the morning show today. Check out the full list of "2012 Hot Toys' from Toys R Us by clicking HERE
