Let's be honest, the only reason most people were watching American Idol this season were if A) you are a Keith Urban fan or B) if you wanted to see what was up with the fighting between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. I had lost all hope this season and assumed I would continue to watch for Keith, but it would be a season of having the remote in my hand so I could fast forward through 99% of the show and pause once in awhile to see Keith's handsome face and move on. 

I'm glad I watched Idol last night (Wednesday) because if not, I would never have laid my eyes on Micah Johnson. This young man's story is so touching. He sustained nerve damage when he had his tonsils out and now has a speech impediment. With his spirit and his big heart I already knew he was going to be special, but when he opened his mouth to sing "Chicken Fried" my jaw DROPPED!
