It seems like it gets here earlier and earlier every year - It's time to kill a major superhero!
DC Comics has decided to let Batman writer Grant Morrison kill off the person presently in the Robin costume.
The person behind the mask right now is the Bruce Wayne's own son, which does add a little to the death gimmick, but realistically, the "death of a character" thing in comics has lost all gravity because NO ONE stays dead!
There used to be a few characters that got killed in such a significant way that bringing them back was almost unthinkable. For years, Captain America's sidekick "Bucky" was at the top of the list and years ago he was joined by Batman's OWN PARTNER, ROBIN.
As you can probably guess from all the capital letters used above, they have both since returned along with Superman, Batman himself and a variety of of spandex models.
Now, I'm not telling you not to buy the issue if you want to. Who knows, it might be good.
I will advise you not to buy 10 or 11 copies of it because you think it's gonna be so important, though. Trust me.
Also, feel free to let me know if you want to buy a copy (or 10) of the issue where Superman dies... just saying.
