I love Tina Fey, but I agree with Taylor Swift; she is the recipient of a lot of snarky guff and I don't really think she's done anything to deserve it. As far as I can see, she is a woman in her early 20's and she dates the way a woman in her early 20's should.

She meets people she likes and tries them on for size. Like most relationships, they eventually fizzle. Then, the way any normal human being would, she experiences reasonably appropriate feelings of sadness, loss or frustration. Then, she dusts her self off and she looks elsewhere for love.

What in all of that really calls for the snark that she gets met with?

If you've ever been around someone that wanted to marry their high school sweetheart or have a serious boyfriend through college, all you hear is that they're young and shouldn't be tied down... so why are people so judgey when Taylor Swift skips the need for advice and goes straight to the not being so tied down part? Is it because we didn't get the fun of telling her not to be so tied down?

I'm starting to think that maybe people don't really believe that being tied down is all that bad - they would rather have something to disagree with someone about.
