With a unique name like Uma and being a hollywood celebrity, I expect Uma's children to be blessed with unusual names. It is what you try to do now a days, set a name trend. First she had Maya with Ethan Hawke, and a few years later gave birth to Levon. 3 months ago Uma gave birth again, and we just now have been told the little girl's name.

Uma and fiance Aprad Busson are going for the gold medal with name creativity and  name length with their newly christened : Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson. Or Luna for short. 

Let's not rush to judgment on this being the worst baby name of the year.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon gave birth to twins in April, naming the little girl Monroe(nice) and their son Moroccan (Ummmmm?). In May, Alicia Silverstone and Christopher Jarecki had Bear Blu Jarecki. Reese Witherspoon named her son Tennessee James, after giving birth in September. My pick for the worst of the year does not go to Uma, but to pastry chef Tania Peterson and husband Phil after naming their daughter, Zuzu Audrey Peterson in January. Is that prounced Zoo-Zoo? or Shoe-Shoe? Either way, it sounds like a cute name for a little tyke, but not a name you could ever be taken seriously with as an adult.

Not all celebs display astoundingly bad judgment when it comes to naming their offspring. Pink and her motocross racer husband Carey Hart gave birth to daughter Willow Sage Hart on June 2. Ne-Yo and girlfriend Monyetta Shaw gave birth to their second child: Mason Evan Smith. Both were voted as the best celebrity names of the year by celebbabylaundry.com

Some celebs seemed to be channeling one another: Neil Patrick Harris, Tiffani Thiessen and the Beckhams all chose the name Harper, which is now 2011's 10th most-popular baby name overall.
