Alivia is 3 years old and was diagnosed with inoperable and untreatable brainstem cancer (DIPG) the day after Christmas 2011. On October 1st, after a visit to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Alivia’s parents were told that her tumor had doubled in size and she was given a prognosis of 1-3 months. This benefit is to alleviate some of the financial burdens that Alivia’s parents will endure as they undoubtedly chose to leave work to be with their baby during her final days.
