Growing up, I loved all things Aladdin, so I’m PUMPED for this new live-action version! Guy Ritchie is directing and he said he’s going to take a “non-traditional” approach. That both scares and excites me. I love Aladdin so it’s gonna be hard to compete with the original, but at the same time I’m excited for this new 21st century spin on things.
The live-action version is going to include the original music, which is nice because those songs are some of the best. Sing it with me, “A whole new world…” However, the script is “non-linear,” which means the events in the story won’t take place in the same order.
So maybe they’ll show Aladdin as Prince Ali and then tell his back story? We’ll see.
