To be correct, the people of Iowa are not here for a Pop-Tart with American Cheese. College Sophomore, Chris Jorgensen posted this photo on Twitter hinting that this is an Iowa thing when the people of Iowa shut him down fast!
It’s no secret that Iowa likes strange eats, fried butter, enchilada funnel cakes and even scotcharoos, which is why he thought he could get away with starting a trend.

Jorgensen’s original Tweet had racked up over a 1,000 comments. He spoke with the Des Moines Register saying, “I thought: ‘What could be the grossest thing I could put between two Pop-Tarts? So I went to the fridge and got a cheese slice.” And, according to the paper, he only took one bite out of it after caving to the pressure from his roommates, who told him he needed to actually try it in order to post about it.
So if you’re feeling like living on the experimental side try it, get Strawberry Pop-Tarts and America Cheese.
