It’s finally here. Spring arrives today, March 20th, 2019.

  • Officially, the Spring equinox takes place at 5:58 pm Eastern time.
  • There will be a full moon tonight. It’s a Supermoon, which means the moon is closer to earth than normal.
  •  It’s the first time since 1981 that the spring equinox and a full moon coincide on the same day.
  • This Supermoon is called the “SUPER WORM MOON“. Yep.
    From ABC NEWS:
Super moons that occur in March are nicknamed the “worm moon” because that’s the time of year when earth worms tend to emerge from the ground as it begins to thaw from the departing cold of winter. A super moon occurs when a full moon or new moon coincides with the moon’s position at its closest to earth.

The Spring Equinox is supposedly the only day of the year you can balance an egg on its end.

Kirk Mona is a professional interpretive naturalist living in Minnesota, and he tries the egg trick in the this video. His video channel Secret Nature explores the sometimes hidden answers and connections that make nature fascinating.

Wait, did he say DJ’s are a little bit mischievous??? NEVER!
