The latest Nike shoe is not influenced by a basketball player or a Hip-Hop star.

The shoe is made for medical workers. The Nike Air Zoom Pulse is designed for “everyday heroes” like doctors, nurses, paramedics, and medical aides.

Nike studied activity at a children’s hospital in Portland. They were able to see the challenges that medical staff see daily like liquid spills and long hours standing.

In a statement, Nike said, “The fit, cushioning and traction systems work together to secure the foot in all hospital conditions.”
