HBO MAX has shared a brief clip of previously unseen footage, cut from Justice League, that will be restored in a new edit of the 2017 film from director Zack Snyder.

The so-called Snyder Cut was advocated for by an organized group of fans dissatisfied with the version of Justice League that made it to theaters. Snyder stepped back from the film midway through production, and the shooting and editing was completed by Avengers director Joss Whedon.

Darkseid was originally intended to be in Justice League, according to Snyder’s posts over the years, but was cut out of the final version of the film. After the Snyder Cut was announced as an HBO Max exclusive in May, rumors started up that Darkseid would be in the Snyder Cut version

The project, known as THE SNYDER CUT, is rumored to cost more than $30 million, and won’t hit HBO Max’s streaming service until 2021.
