Hog Wild 5K

The McLean County Fair had to be cancelled for 2020. However, the Hog Wild 5K race will still take place!

The race will take place Sunday, August 2nd. With the safety of participants in mind and guidelines to being followed, the race will be run in heats of 40 people. Because of this the start time will likely be around 7 AM but could be adjusted as needed.

Goody bags and shirts will be available for pick-up at the McLean County Fairgrounds Saturday, August 1st from 3-5 PM and before the race on Sunday. Note: Since the fair has been cancelled the bags will not include the fair tickets.

“Its Race Time” will be timing the race. There will be trophies awarded to the heat winners at the finish line. There will also be an overall men and women’s champion. Those trophies will be awarded at a later date. Because of safety restrictions, there will not be an awards ceremony.

There will be the same great food available at the race as in past years. For safety, it will be pre-packaged in to-go bags.

The race organizers will continue to work with “Its Race Time” and others to assure a safe race for all involved. Unfortunately due to the need to limit groups of people and social distancing requirements the 1-mile walk will NOT take place this year.

The Hog Wild 5K is organized by the McLean County Farm Bureau Foundation with all proceeds supporting McLean County youth.

Make sure you sign-up for the race before July 16th to avoid the price increase!
