How many robocalls from telemarketers or scammers do you get in one day?

On average, I probably get around 10, at LEAST. They are one of the most annoying parts about technology.

For as long as I can remember my phone number has been on the national “Do Not Call List” but I’m not sure that has ever stopped me from receiving calls from not only telemarketers, but scammers as well.

Luckily, my phone warns me on most of these calls with a spam risk, scam call, or telemarketer warning, and I have never been one to answer a number I didn’t recognize, especially if it wasn’t local, but it’s still annoying none the less.

What’s really scary is some people are actually falling for the scams, and that’s where the real trouble comes in.

Since the “Do Not Call List” never seemed to work, the FCC is finally cracking down on spammers and scammers. They just issued a $225 million fine to Texas telemarketers who sent around 1 billion robocalls.

It is the largest fine ever issued by the FCC.

The calls falsely claimed to sell health insurance for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and other companies.

One of the men at the center of the investigation admitted to calling people on the Do Not Call list.

The FCC also issued several cease and desist orders against other robocallers.

How many of these calls do you get in a day?
