Adam Devine Lands ‘Pitch Perfect’ Reboot Role
A reboot of the film Pitch Perfect is coming to Peacock.
Adam Devine who had a role in the two films of the same name will star in the TV spin-off as his shady character Bumper Allen.
The series will follow Devine a couple of years after the events of the Pitch Perfect film. Devine’s character Bumper Allen is now living in Germany.
He’s moved to Berlin to resurrect his music character, and wouldn’t you know it, he has a smash hit song.
Inspired by the Mickey Rapkin book of the same name, the three Pitch Perfect features have grossed nearly $600 million worldwide. While Devine’s Bumper was the central girl-group’s rival in the first film, he became a love interest for Rebel Wilson’s “Fat Amy” in the second feature. Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow and Wilson starred in all three features, with Hailee Steinfeld joining for the second and third. Ben Platt and Skylar Astin starred alongside Devine in the first two.
