Illinois is home to a brick and mortar Toys R Us Store again

Wanna be a Toys’R’Us kid again? There is good news!

After announcing plans to return in July, the iconic toy store has opened up 40 locations in nine states so far. The outlets are located inside Macy’s stores, ranging in size from 1,000 to 10,000 feet.

Illinois has only one location so far, and that is at Louis Joliet Mall in Joliet.
More locations are set to open in at least five more states between now and October 15th.

The toy company returned to Macy’s after being acquired by WHP Global in March 2021. Toys R Us filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and soon closed all of its stores in the United States.
