
Forty-two years after its initial publication, the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons has been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame (at the Strong Museum for Play in Rochester, New York).
Dungeons & Dragons was inducted alongside Fisher-Price Little People and “the swing.”
All three new Hall of Fame members were chosen by a panel of experts, coming out on top from a field of twelve finalists.

In other toy news, Rubik’s Cube, inducted on the TOH in 2014, had a new world record set this week.
Mats Valk set a new world record at the Jawa Timur Open in Indonesia. Valk, 20, managed to break the existing record of 4.90 seconds, set last year by 14-year-old Lucas Etter, with a blistering time of 4.74 seconds.
