Taylor Swift’s song “You Need To Calm Down” has ignited the LGBTQ community to come together in support of GLAAD.
GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has seen a significant amount of donations come in after the release of Swift’s newest song which contains the lyric, “Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?”
With June being Pride month, GLAAD initiated a fundraiser in hopes of raising $1,300 for LGBTQ initiatives. Since midnight on June 14th, donations have been coming in in the amount of $13, Taylor’s favorite number.
