WTF News: Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Turkey

Every Thanksgiving, home cooks across America try to outdo themselves by preparing the most over-the-top turkeys. This year, the people at Reynolds Wrap are introducing a new way to bring the thunder to Thanksgiving dinner: smother the whole darn bird in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Reynolds Wrap has a step-by-step guide to making “flavor blasted turkeys” on its homepage, presumably to help move some of the company’s Plastic Oven Bags.

Take a bag of your favorite hot corn puffs (the recipe doesn’t specify Cheetos), blend the chips into a fine dust, coat your trussed-and-buttered turkey with the powder, put the carcass in a Reynolds Oven Bag, and pop it in the oven at 350 degrees till the thickest part of the thigh reaches an internal temperature of 180 degrees.

Reynolds also notes that you can use this same technique to make another version using tangy chips like Cool Ranch Doritos. Find More Here.
