Industry experts say the Marvel superhero flick Black Panther may open as high as $165 million over its Friday through Monday Presidents Day weekend launch. If so, it would be the biggest official Friday-Monday debut in history. Assuming the Friday-Sunday opening is at least as high as Deadpool ($132 million) it would net the biggest opening ever for a solo/non-sequel superhero movie.

Black Panther is just days away from its wide release, and has already become the biggest seller of advance IMAX tickets of any Marvel title.

Personally I can’t wait to see this film, so back to the question, will it tank? NO!
