Will Smith is set to star as Venus and Serena Williams’ dad, Richard Williams, in a new biopic.
The film will document the story of how Williams raised his daughters in Compton, California and wrote a 78-page plan on how his daughters would become pro tennis players.
Richard had no formal training in tennis but would teach his daughters the sport and catapult them to superstar status in the sport. Venus has won 49 singles titles over the course of her career, and Serena has won 72. The two sisters remain personally very close. They have won 22 titles when playing doubles together, including 14 Grand Slam titles and 3 Olympic gold medals.
