Adele Cancels Concert Because Of Illness: “It’s The Last Thing I Want”

The day of, Adele posted a sincere video on Wednesday (August 17) of her having to cancel her show in Phoenix, AZ.

In the Instagram video, which hit all social media airwaves, the British singer was makeup free as she apologized to her many fans the day of.

“I’ve had a cold for a couple days and I’ve been pushing through it,” she told followers. “I did my show last night and I loved it but I pushed too hard and my cold has gotten the better of me and as you can hear even if I did the show it wouldn’t be very good…. I’ve enjoyed my tour so much and canceling shows is not something I’ve wanted to do and I’ve pushed through a lot of things, but I’ve been trying to sing all morning and warming up but nothing’s really happening.”

But have no fear, because Adele does plan to reschedule, but needs to take time for herself in the meantime. “It’s the last thing I want to do,” she continued. “But I have to look after myself because I’ve got so many more shows to do.”
