Guess it really does pay to play!  Fortnite awarded “Nyrhox” and “Aqua” $1.5 million each after the duo won the first-ever Fortnite world championships in NYC.  The pair won games 4 and 5 out of 6 to earn the most points in the shoot-’em-up survival game that’s been a world phenomenon since it’s 2017 debut. The second-place duo took home a pretty nice prize, even though they didn’t win the championship.  Player “Rojo” and “Wolfies” each took home over $1 million each.  Fortnite didn’t disclose the real names or ages of the players. Anyone who passed the qualifying ten weeks of playing to enter the championship will still walk away with at least $50,000, too.
