Jamaica Is Opening Again Up For Tourists

What do you need to know about going to my favorite island?

If you feel the need for a tropical vacation this summer, Jamaica is reopening to help you out! Out of all of the islands I have travelled to in the last 20 years, Jamaica is far and away my favorite. Why? Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios are just a few of the communities that I toured and fell in love with. The warm and joyful people, the incredible food (like JERK CHICKEN), the local rum cream and yes the BLUE MOUNTAIN coffee, are all reasons to visit Jamaica someday.

The United States hasn’t opened our borders yet for non essential international travel, but it could be happening soon. Until then, find yourself a great travel agent and find yourself a future adventure to this incredible place. Jamaica is only a 5 hour flight from Illinois to paradise!

On June 15, Jamaica will open again for international travelers.

The Caribbean island’s borders have been closed to deal with COVID-19.When travelers arrive, they will be subject to temperature screening. Additional tests and screening will be available for anyone with an elevated temperature.

Here is a online video review I did of a resort in Montego Bay that we really enjoyed called “The Sunscape Cove“. Upgrading from the Splash side to the Cove is recommended because of the lack of a busy elevator for the rooms, which are full of extras and much quieter at night. Fun water slides are included here too!

Jamaica will revisit safety and tourist protocols every two weeks to make sure they are doing the best they can to keep infected visitors from spreading coronavirus.
