Magic Mike 3 is officially in the works!

Channing Tatum broke the news on Twitter yesterday as he shared a photo of the script with the title set as Magic Mike’s Last Dance.

“Well world, looks like Mike Lane’s tapping back in. @hbomax,” Tatum, 41, tweeted.

The third movie will premiere exclusively on HBO Max.

Magic Mike debuted in 2012 and came back in 2015 for Magic Mike XXL. Both films grossed nearly $300 million worldwide.

“There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of Magic Mike with Steven, Greg, Reid, and the amazing people at HBO Max,” Tatum said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. “The stripperverse will never be the same.”

The movies also paved the way for a stage show both in the US and international, and the upcoming reality competition show Finding Magic Mike that premieres on HBO Max December 16th! The six episodes were shot over an eight-week period, including a couple of COVID interruptions, and follows 10 guys who have lost their “magic” and mojo and want to transform into professional dancers.
