Bruce Willis has announced that he is stepping away from acting due to a medical condition.

Bruce’s family says he is suffering from a medical condition called “aphasia” that is affecting his cognitive abilities and that he will be taking a break from acting.

Both his daughter, Rumer, and his ex-wife, Demi Moore, released a statement on behalf of Bruce on their social media pages.

“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, aphasia is “a condition that robs you of the ability to communicate” and can be caused by a stroke, head injury, a brain tumor or a disease.

Other celebrities that have been affected by aphasia include, Sharon Stone, Emilia Clarke, and Dick Clark.

We are thinking about you Bruce and praying for comfort.

I leave you with this, “Yippee ki yay!”

Updated to add: I am now crying in the studio remembering the scene in Armageddon where Harry says goodbye…
