Biden administration makes at-home Covid tests available for free again this winter

  • The Biden administration has announced plans to bring back the program that provides free at-home Covid-19 tests.
  • Through the program, American households will be able to receive the tests via the United States Postal Service.
  • While the original program was paused in September, it will be restarted in what the White House calls a “winter preparedness plan” to take on end-of-the-year cases.
  • Americans can order up to four free tests at covidtests.gov and should expect shipments to begin next week.
