A tiny camera could soon be spying on you while you shop. It’s not checking for shoplifting. The camera wants to figure out how old you are, what your gender is and your current mood.
The technology will be used to show targeted ads on in-store video screens as you walk by. The items will be based on the camera’s evaluation of you.
Some Kroger and Walgreen’s locations are already testing the cameras. The retailers say they aren’t collecting and saving data.
