Congratulates to all of the graduates, but especially to 90 year old Bob Dwyer, a Chicago man who just made history by becoming the oldest person to graduate from Northeastern Illinois University!

Dwyer says, “it’s never too late” when asked about his degree at the age of 90. He retired 10 years ago, at 80, and says he just missed human interaction, and that’s what drew him to looking at heading back to college. He enrolled in NIU’s interdisciplinary program which had him hitting the books pretty hard in Philosophy, Sociology, Communications, Geography, Education, AND Political Science.

I definitely believe in school being somewhat more effective later in life, but 90???

I’m feeling fairly lazy after reading this, even if I do have a full time career, and own my own business. WTG Bob!
