The US is in the midst of the heatwave. From coast-to-coast, there is little relief in sight going into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, 100 local heat records are set to be broken on Saturday across the country.
Most of those records aren’t for high temperatures. They are for night-time lows. Some parts of the East Coast will only dip into the upper 70’s to low 80’s in the night hours.
Air quality could be very bad in cities from Baltimore to Bridgeport, Connecticut. Stay cool and check on each other.
